Hold Live Review Sessions

Review in real-time

You and your colleagues can review material together in real-time. Even when you are spread out across remote locations, you are able to collaborate as if you were in the same room.

The live review feature includes tools for synchronized media playback, real-time comments, and frame markup, and secure infrastructure to share media.

Currently, you can participate in a live review session from both the Mac and Windows PIX 2 applications.

Start a live review session

Create a playlist of the media for review and share it with your colleagues as a  PIX Session. Your colleagues receive an email notification letting them know you have invited them to participate in the review.

Since media is securely stored and available via PIX, there are no extra steps to make sure everyone downloaded the media and is reviewing the same files or correct version numbers.

Similarly, because the media is already on PIX, you can create notes and markups ahead of time, and reference or export notes from the session after it’s over.

See notes and markups in real-time

You make notes and markups the same way you would when reviewing media outside of a live review.

The difference is, while in a session your team can see your comments and markups as you make them. When you draw on a frame or images or type in the comment box, others can see your pen strokes/typing in real-time.

See who else is participating

Keep track of who is in the live review with you and who is in sync for playback.
PIX displays a list of everyone you’ve invited to the session and their current status.

Export feedback from the session

The comments and markups made during the live review are stored alongside the media in PIX.

This makes it easy to find, review, and export your work to an Avid Marker list, Final Cut XML, or CSV after the session is over.
